  • When i did my fences,i paid for the materials and did all the work,so guess who got the good side?Yes,that's right,i did.So that blows the above theory out the water.

    Another possibility would be to check with the Land Registry in Plymouth.

    our deeds state the fences are shared but guess who replaced all the way round due to neigbours not wanting to put hands in pockets . yes at least we have a nice 6foot fence which they benefit by when they sell makes your blood boil

    Our deeds don't have fence ownership/responsibility marked on them. For the last 10yrs+ we have lived here, usually if us or a neighbour wants to replace a fence then the costs are halved and the work is done by the person who wanted the work done in the first place. Recently when we have wanted to replace the fence hubby has started using the concrete posts that the panels just slot into. So if a panel gets damaged we just lift the old one out and put a new one in. Way easier than it was before. While I appreciate these may not be to everyones taste they work well for us.
