Littlewoods ( Shop Direct )

Throwing this out there to see if anybody else got any thoughts /ideas on this.

I have a current complaint with Littlewoods for just under £500 and have now sent the whole sequence of letters resulting in negative responses thus far.

Today I have received a final response letter from Shop Direct saying charges are fair blah blah and " as my complaint refers to an event prior to the 6th April 2007, unfortunately I will be unable to refer to the FOS as they were not a member of a Dispute Resolution Service until this date so it is therefore unlikely that they will consider my complaint "

Does anybody know if this statement is correct ? Not encountered this before.

Any ideas?

No idea what that means, sorry. Why don't you just call up the FOS and see what they say?

You don't say the precise nature of the complaint. Is this penalty charges or something else

Whilst strictly true, the FOS are dealing with bank charge complaints dating from well before that and note they are careful to say "unlikely"

No, penalty charges is what they are.

Oh yes, the lovely Bryan Carter, can I say his name on here lol, send me a court order, my reply to that was to put in a counterclaim, I have been made redundant, so it didn't cost me anything;), anyway, the court send me a A.Q form, just a few questions on it to sign and fill in, and had to be send to the court along with my defence by Mon 5th Oct.. next, on Thurs 1st Oct I received two letters from B.C (solicitors for the company that bought the debt from Littlewoods) first one was a copy of their A.Q, when I open the second letter, it was to say, they didn't really want to go to court, so if I drop my counterclaim, then they woudn't pursue the claim or me, just sign the letter and send it back, so they had back down, well, went to see the clerk in the Court on Mon 5th of Oct, and told him I was more than happy to drop the case, gave the Clerk a letter to that affect, that I was dropping my counterclaim, because I had come to an agreement with BC, :rotfl:also to leave my defence in place. just in case, B.C kicked of again at later date, also left a copy of B.C letter, with the clerk , saying he would not pursue me, so that will be on file and the Judge would just love to see that, if B.C ever bothers me again.... sorted.... with a lot of support from esmerellda

on here...I have saved nearly £500.....:T:T:T...Lilly... ps. it took about 4 weeks
