Recording sky movies

Does anyone have problems recording new movies (onto dvd) from sky ??. it keeps happening there is no sound or it will not play back on dvd recorder, its happend to my brother in law as well. i think sky can stop you recording films ????:mad: :mad: :mad:

There might be some macrovision protection on the movies so they will interupt the video or sound which in turn spoils the movie and you probably wont watch it so this way SKY makes more money by you paying per movie you watch if it is box office

You can buy a macrobuster to allow recording but are hard to find as they have been outlawed , have a look on that auction site people are raving about lol!

You are not allowed to copy protected films but you can use the same lead for legimate purposes - see here:

i can record movies, i had to geta digisender and send the signal from my sky box to my dvd,

I upgraded the official firmware with my dvd recorder and have no problems copying box office movies
