Accident claim? - long post

I will speak to him before the event if I do decide to proceed with a claim. I don't think he's still with the same insurer as he was without a policy for a while as his car was a write off and it was some time before he replaced it as I don't think he was fully comp.
He's certainly not in a position to cover any costs himself as he's been out of work for a while and only just back in another job and I wouldn't ask him anyway as I don't hold him responsible. It was just one of those things.
It's called insurance,;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Exactly and I would have thought that the physio appointments I've had already would cost more than the potential hike in his premium.0 -
Superpup you need to see a specialist injury lawyer, not an ambulance chasing outfit, there are time limits on adult accident claims I think it's three years. Don't feel guilty about claiming you had a serious accident and that's the reason we have insurance for when things go wrong. If you see the physio before a medical they are qualified to add their own medical info to the file so don't wait in pain if the physio helps.
I have been through a similar experience, my medical exam was almost a year after the event and it was all organised by the specialist injury lawyer I used.0 -
Thanks nearlyrich
The local solicitor I've emailed states on the website that he is a partner and head of their personal injury department. My doctor's appointment is on Tuesday and I'll see what their waiting list is like for physio. If it's too long I will pay privately and see if I can claim it back. I should be able to get receipts for my appointments earlier this year if necessary.
What was your medical like? I'm not trying to make out my injuries are worse than they are but you hear of so many people trying it on, I just don't want to be made to feel like they think I'm trying to pull a fast one.:o My injuries aren't severe but do have a small impact on my life.0 -

If you just stick to the facts with the examining doctor you will be fine, they will ask how the accident has affected your daily life, maybe ask you to show them how far you can lift your arm etc. Don't be a hero but make sure they know what you are struggling with.0 -

3 years is correct for injury claims.
However if;- At the time of the accident you did not know you had been injured or that your injury was caused by an accident, illness or disease, but you find out later. Even if this is years later, the three years may start to run from when you found out. Your solicitor will be able to tell you more.
(can't remember where I found that)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
