How often do you buy clothes?

Well, I can honestly say I buy clothes very often. Very often indeed!

I'd say I buy something new almost every week. Not an expensive thing, maybe a max of £20. I've been so much better recently - after discovering charity shops and boot sales, it's amazing how expensive everything seems! I've also found some excellent bargains on eBay.
Like another poster says, clothes (and shoes and bags!) are my only vice. I don't smoke, don't drink a lot, am not a huge partier and don't have many holidays. These days I live well within my means and so think I'm allowed some lovely fashionable treats, if budget allows!
I also despise shopping for wants. Needs are much more fun! :rotfl:0 -
My shopping is very variable. I can go months without buying anything at all. At the moment there is absolutely nothing in the shops that inspires me and the only thing I have bought recently (discounting shoes and jewellery) is a plain pair of black trousers from Long Tall Sally that fall under the needed category. I find trousers very hard to buy ( I need a 36" leg length) so LTS is really my only option. I would love to be able to buy some of the more fashionable styles but they are all much too short on me.0

Oooh, I'm the opposite. I spend quite a lot on holidays and travelling (my major vice), I like to have at least 6-7 trips (long and short) per year - so my clothes budget is very small and everything I buy is from a CS, eBay or the sales!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I like to treat myself , so I save up and have a mini splurge of about £100 once a year/every two years around my birthday.0

This - there are seasons where I love everything in the shops (last winter was good for this when it was all tailoring and slightly circus/Victoriana themed stuff), and then seasons where I hate everything. Normally the gauge of this is Topshop, which right now is OK, although there are some places where you know you'll always get fairly consistent things, like Dorothy Perkins and New Look. If I really like a certain trend I'll go to Primark and buy it on the cheap.
However I have been buying quite a bit of stuff recently, but to be fair that is because I started a new job in an office a couple of months ago and so I needed 'work' clothes after three years as a student! To be fair though everything I've bought was purchased either in a sale or a '2 for £X' deal...
I also regularly browse eBay for things from my wishlist in order to find them on the cheap, as it generally tends to be better for such things."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
I tend to specifically go clothes shopping probably around 4-5 times a year where I will spend usually no more than £100 each time (an that's alot for me). I probably go into Primark (got one v near me) about once every couple of weeks, spend anything between £0 and £30 max although this tends to be on undies/socks and the odd T short. Got a winter 'puffa' type jacket in there for £9 the other day.
I would say my total clothes spend per year is around £500.0 -
It depends.......... I sometimes buy clothes once a month.......... but its usually when it catches my eye and looks good
I do 2 -3 trips a year to the US on business and I usually tend to buy clothes when I'm there...... usually from a store called Heaven at the Farmers Market and Forever 21 in LA get my custom........... their clothes are very romantic and feminine......... and extremely cheap:D I have gone onto Rodeo Drive and shopped there for investment peices
Over in the UK I like Next/NewLook/TopShop/Warehouse & Principles although I usually tend to wait for the sale and/or shop on line and again the clothes have to catch my eye
I shudder to think what I spend sometimes:rotfl:total airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0 -

I buy clothes every couple of months but try and stick to the sales and am careful to buy only clothes I know I will get lots of wear out of!
My OH hates shopping - he is very tall so its hard to find clothes that fit him. Earlier in the summer we went clothes shopping for holiday and he spent about £200 in debenhams on 3 swim shorts, 3 shorts, cut-off trousers, 2 tshirts, and a shirt. And now he wont shop again for another year or so!fran-o0 -
At least weekly:o
I get bored, wander about the shops and buy something - even if its just a bra and knicker set
Perhaps that explains the double wardrobe, the two chest of drawers and now the walk in wardrobe in the back room all full to over flowing:eek:0
