also the 180 a month is for your future and will open up your job prospects, cant your employer help with driving lessons?0

hi kev
yes it is a donation, and i dont really want to cancel it to be honest
the £40 savings i havent got much in there as this new one has only just been opened, my old savings account payed for some bills to be payed, the new savings is for a car and i cant get rid of it as when i pass my driving i need to be able to buy a car (i will not be able to get a loan)
this month has been tight but usually yes i will have that amount to put towards the debt, thank goodness
the driving will mean i will be able to apply for jobs i am trained in instead of being a checkout dolly, no my employer will not pay for it unfortunetly
I was going to do cc2 the cc3 then mum
thanks for all the suggestions0 -
Why do you have to wait till November to change your internet? maybe to change your provider but can't you drop down the package you're on as £27 is a fair bit these days.
Does your mum know how much you owe? can't she lend you the cash? or let you off 4 months housekeeping so you can clear your debt and play 'catch up' to her?0 -
I really do think that for the next 3 months you should put that 40 towards the debt (making around 200 a month), as you will save a lot in interest, (plus being out of debt will be better than having savings and debt
)then when its cleared you can put 200 (or 120) in the savings account to more than make up for it

Any chance you could get a wee part time job even just a couple of hours a week just now to help you pay for your driving lessons?

the soa above is montly so its only £40 a month going into savings, so that would only mean £120 for 3 monthsscheming_gypsy wrote:Why do you have to wait till November to change your internet? maybe to change your provider but can't you drop down the package you're on as £27 is a fair bit these days.

because i am tied into a contract, i could prob lower the packaged, good thinking  i am with bt btw, £38 comes out my account but mum pays the £11 line rental (i put that back in my account), yes mum knows but she cant lend any money and i wouldnt want her too anywayno i cant stop paying her as my brother wouldnt think it was fair although it was fair for him to pay her only £40 a month

I would love to but at the moment i do 6 hours a day and every other weekend with mondays off, i have been taking loads of overtime though and doing 9-10 hour shifts i am just hoping the tax man doesnt take it all0 -
I'd reduce your internet package ASAP.
Personally dont think its fair that you ask your mum to reduce the house keeping. You are already living very cheapily at £30pw-its not your mums debt and you already owe her money.
Good luck

40 savings plus 160 a month you have otherwise (200 a month total you could pay), sorry should have been clearer0 -
Kevin.. your £200 a month doesn't leave her any money... for anything. to last a month,0

i know, im a tough, cruel person
But in fairness she has already stated that she has 160 to throw at the debt, + any extra earnt from overtime can be used for "treats" if thats what you are getting at
I spend very little in the month on myself, the only things ive bought myself in the last 7 months are some blank cds, I budget for my nights out (100 a month) so no one needs to spend great deal of money
Also looking at the name and the online gaming thing she prob is occupied by the net (like me) a lot anyways0
