New Shower Recommendations?

Further to our water leak outside being fixed, the water board turning the pressure off and on has now blown our electric shower!! When you turn it off the water still gushes out of it so I'm assuming it's beyond help!
We're probably looking at spending up to £100 on a new one so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what make of showers in that price range are any good? We live in a hard water area if that makes any difference.
Thanks for your replies

Seems a big assumption, something like turning the water off shouldn't break a shower. Have you checked the electrics and thermal trip?0 -
Good morning: an excellent website on all things shower related including a fault finder. I couldn't recommend a sub £100 electric shower tbh;)

thanks for the info. I just assumed this was the case as after the water pressure is back on the taps/shower always spit through some water to get rid of the air and this plays havoc with the shower!!0
