in Credit cards
good day folks,
I also have the same problem, I took out a Virgin Credit Card @ 15.9%p.a last year, the 9 months 0% B.T expires on May 2006.
I got a letter last month informing me my interest rate will increase to 24.9% at the end of the introductory period on 22 May 2006.
I am powerless to do anything about it, I can't transfer to a new life of balance card as I believe I am maxed and would be rejected for new credit cards.
I am scared of complaining, as they might decide to close my account and ask for their money back, unfortunately I can't afford to repay all the money owed them immediately.
What a life !

that is a ridiculous rate!
I would complain certainly. As an ex Virgin employee, I would write to:
Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Management Limited, 120 Campden Hill Road, London W8 7AR
Virgin is putting it's name on everything. It wants you to have a virgin credit card to spend in virgin megastores, wants you to fly virgin atlantic and get fit at virgin active. It's all part of it's global branding.
write a letter to the above address stating that you are shocked that a company such as Virgin would lend it's name to such a stupid credit card. Say that you feel let down by Virgin as a result are usure as whether to trust any of their current products or future products that they lend their name to.0 -
