in Credit cards
Hi All
Just joined, be gentle with me.
I have just applied for a Tesco Clubcard Creditcard, which states i get 5 points for every £4 pound spend in Tescos (1 Point = 1 Pence, equivalent of 1.25% Cashback)
I thought this was a good deal but then realised i normally pay with my Egg Card (1% Cashback) and collect Points on my Clubcard (1 Point for £1 spend equivalent of 1% Cashback). Total equivalent of 2% Cashback.
I know you can double up Points in Store and Quadruple the value etc but on the basic level am i missing anything or would i be better off sticking with my Egg Card?

Don't forget the tesco clubcard is now giving you 2 points per pound spent.

No you are not missing anything, you are right in hitting those Tesco fiends for a double whammy.
You should continue to do so as you can hand yourclubcardcreditcard over and say you want to use it for a clubcard only and pay with your egg card anyway!Best Regards,

hi all can anyone tell me if you still get 5 points for every £4.00 spent instore with the tesco credit card as was the case when I got my card?? the reason I ask all the advertising on TV and online now only say 1 clubcard point for every £4.00 spent worldwide and nothing about the 5 points per £4.00 ?????0

It is 1 point for every £4 spent ANYWHERE on the credit card.
In addition, for spends in TESCO you get the clubcard points you'd get no matter what method you pay, ie normally 1 point per pound (currently 2 points per pound)
Make sense?0
