What a change to find an OP being given a helpful answer to their question! (It doesn't seem to be the norm these days!)

wkessy - this really bugs me too! I've been on HRT for quite a while and never completely understood about paying twice for one box of pills or patches. I understand about having several items on one prescription (say pills, cream and bandage for painful foot say) and having to pay for each item but this is different.
Some of the dispensers at our surgery failed to charge me double on a few occasions, so that softened the blow a bit. Most of them were on the ball though and I paid £14+ on most occasions.

What I don't understand is that most medications are made up of loads of things and you're never charged for all those, so why HRT?

It wasn't worth me paying for a pre-payment certificate, as I take no other medication.

Hope they suit you anyway ;)
