can any one advise where I stand on this situation
We were with eon and around 18 months ago moved to npower
an eon door to door sales rep came around after 7 months or so and talked me in to moving back to eon. so i did. I was told the final bill (which I'd called eon to find out, we hadn't actually had the bill yet) of £150 would be written off as a good will/sales thing.
signed up, called and checked for something else, discovered £150 still outstanding. Was told that as a good will thing they'd add it to the new account so we could pay it off slowly. We did that.
Now, 12 months after going back to eon the second time (so a good 18 months after fully leaving them the first time) we get a shirty call asking us for the £150.

Where do we stand? £150 is in short supply in this house at the minute!

    Hi gardis,

The original arrears of £150 should never have been discussed as a point of sale by a sales representative.

I would expect the £150 to be transferred to the new account and the repayment of this included in your current payment arrangement, this would seem like a fair resolution bearing in mind you didn’t receive the original final bill until 7 months after you left us.

If you are now being told that the £150 hasn’t been included in your payment plan, and is still outstanding then the amount must not have been transferred correctly in the first place.

It is likely that the £150 is still sat on the old account rather than the new account. For the arrears to have been gradually paid back as part of your current payment plan, this would have needed to be transferred to the new account.

You need to establish if the £150 is on the current account, if it is we can set your regular payments up to include this amount, call us to arrange this.

    Thanks for replying brian.

We've done all of that. My gripe is that we THOUGHT we'd already paid it off!
