I wouldn't be at all surprised- they have a monopoly over the country so why bother with selling competitively priced goods anymore? My local tesco is always more expensive than the nearest petrol station.

That's great!! :T Was this in the petrol station or did you have to go back to CS to get the refund?

They did the refund at the station, they said there would be no point in going into CS as that is seperate and they wouldn't be able to issue a refund there
A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.

Esso, Shell, Texaco is 'better' petrol for your car for a few P more per tankful. Been proved apparantely - Daily Telegraph motoring (honest john!). Can actually save you going to the 'proper' garages as you get better mpg !

I emailed to ask him about this and he said that although it's better for the car, it doesn't make sense in terms of the household budget  My local Esso is the same price as Tesco so all I'd lose is the clubcard points, worth around 1p per litre at the moment. Is it worth it? I have never tried it so can't say about the mpg

I emailed CS to complain that the 3 mile radius statement wasn't being applied at my local Tesco as Asda were cheaper. Just got a sorry email. The price was never reduced.

This is why I'm never saddened to hear about Walmart's advances into Tesco territory :T
