Halifax - HELP!

I originally put a claim in for an amount of £840 against the Halifax for bank charges on one of my accounts with them!

Since then alot has gone on and i've now entered a payment plan with all my creditors including an overdraft on one of my accounts with the Halifax.

I recieved a letter off them today stating that "due to my current financial situation they are willing to offer me a refund of £84" - where do I go from here, I basically think thats an insult!

Also I claimed on my other bank account with them and they told me I was not in financial difficulty - bit of a clash here??

Negotiate for a higher amount based on your priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities).
If the arrears are being paid off then it is unlikely they will increase this amount. However the amount offered is not a full and final settlement of the claim so the outstanding amount is reclaimable on the conclusion of the OFT test case issues.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
