Morning everyone!
Caught up with my comps and even done my Dailies today! Off down to the gym for a couple of hours, then I seriously need to start doing some work, (although the library is beckoning, I research a lot online, so can multi-task with comps)
kkk - really hope you're having a better day hun. Must be hard for you at the moment and so frustrating
All this talk of slow cookers a really good idea. I've been making a few casseroles over the last couple of weeks (loving beef in Guinness) so may need to invest...
Postal strike ThursdayNot good... I treated myself to an All Saints top on eBay over a week ago (problem with xmas shopping on there is that I get led astray!) and she's not posted it yet - really hope it comes through before the strike...
Waiting for the call to school about DS's homework comments
Have a great and lucky day everyone!0 -
Hi all. Just a quick look see in here today. Hope you are feeling better soon KKK, my kids are just the same they can't face up to the prospect of my being ill and no-one can fix it. It gets them frustrated and then they get cross with themselves but it all comes out wrong.
Try to stay positive. I am still down and I just can't seem to shae it off at the mo.
Agree with the comments about the terrible 2 on XFactor. It is so wrong that better singers have to go out.
Hope the comping failry smiles on everyone today. If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

Hi kkk - I'm good thanks. Hope everything is good with you and that things are better today
Teacher amused by DS's sense of humour, fortunately. I did explain that his alternative homework sentence had been "Your nose is like a box of chocolates - you never know if you're going to pick a hard or soft centre" (if you missed it, his homework was to roll a dice for a facial feature, then again for an item, then write a simile)... Boys!
Just realised I'd better get my Avon/Cosmo survey filled in and posted back before the postal strike...
Just read your post NNW - it works well in Theakstons Old Peculier or Black Sheep too (good Dales beers, you see!)
Off to cook tea now and have another guitar practice before lesson tonight!0 -

hey everyone
just a favour to ask
if anyone sees my name anywhere in the next few days can they let me know? My dad's gone into hospital feeling really weak and achey and woozy so he's gone in for tests and an MRI - for those that don't know, about 4-5 years ago he had a brain tumour and a clot and radiotherapy so anytime he gets ill, I panic. I'm not feeling 100% but ask if anyone could keep an eye out on things for me, much appreciated as I won't be about much until he's well..
thanks guys, hope you're all well xxBest wins since June 08: 2xNikonD60, 2xBrothers Cider, £330 SwanJackpot, £100 Garden Vs, £50 Espirit V, £750 BigSnap2, Wiifit, zoo tix, 7xCadburys, 5xGlamour, IOWTix, Dell Laptop, 3xIpodNano, £100 Highstreet Vs, Digi VideoCamera and more small bits, REAL DEAL £2400! :jRIP Dad 1943-20090
