    Hi again everyone

Hope that we all have some lovely wins tomorrow (before the postal strike :eek::eek: not looking forward to that! I don't mind if those who deliver the bills go on strike though :o )

This afternoon, I suddenly thought that since I am running out of wages already (a couple of days after I got paid), I thought why not blow the rest of it on a slow cooker, so I did just that :o:o it looks good but I never used one.

Lots of luck to everyone, I definitely need it to keep me going ...
Will enter a few competitions and then want to get Monday out of the way....

Hi NNW, when is the postal strike? I've got lots of cops from postals to send...debating if to send them now!
I've always fancied a slow cooker. I'm always backwards & forwards with dancing, gymnastics, football, nursery, courses & after school clubs! Think a slow cooker would make things a bit easier. :)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Hi Wingobins, I read that it was on Thursday and Friday but I read that a couple of days ago (hopefully they will change their mind).

Yes, I read that slow cookers are easier to use and cook meat a lot better. OH was not very well and I am trying to get him to eat properly ..hopefully I will get him to take an interest in eating someday (SIGH). There are some really good offers on slow cookers at Argos.

    Evening all.:hello:

    Hope everyone is well.
Just finished long day at work and off on annual leave for 2 weeks! Devon holiday for a week next saturday, can't wait.
A week of being with the kids, swimming pool, kids clubs, bar at night:beer:
    Just a week relaxing.

As for slow cookers, I've got one and use it loads.
Meat cooks absolutely lovely in them.
I love doing the really cheap cut of beef, brisket. Stick it in, a bit of water, leave for 8 hours and the meat just falls apart. Mmmm.
Acutally cooking 2 lamb shanks up tomorrow in slow cooker, they turn out lovely as well.

Ooh thanx for that GC, I will have to get me a slow cooker now. :)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Yayyy for the holiday GC :j:j Have loads of fun.

I, too, feel motivated to use it :D read somewhere on MSE that it also consumes as little electricity as that consumed by a light bulb but not really sure...

Right, last hot drink before bed ...x

If you go onto the old style savers board, there's loads of slow cooker recipes on there.
