My washing machine just broke :eek::eek: got all important items of clothes in it..just heard a loud noise, them smelt burning elecricity ...aaaaaaaaargh wanted the wash to be over before the evening! SIGH!

This is a private message I received today after telling my 'friends' here what was happening and why I have been away.

"hi SOD, im sorry things are still rough for yuo and i understand that you eed to talk to someone but do you really think a very public forum about competitions is the place to do it?? and were you trying to make certain people feel guilty for being mean? coz if so thats not very kind really... it just makes everyone feel miserable. thats why people avoid the inn these days to much depressing stuff and bi*ching and backstabing in there.
really hope things pick up for you son and that comping fairy is smiling down at you"

This is precisely the reason I have kept away, having been called a "whinger". I posted in here for a long time before my personal life hit the skids, had good friends and found people wonderful. Everyone was so kind, and I always had a kind word for others in need. Clearly things have changed.

I won't be back and wish all of you the best. Happy comping :A

Aw SoD, (( hugs)). A trouble shared is a trouble halved. You shouldn't have to leave, i'm sure you have plenty of friends on here. Everyone has worries at some point and personally I think it's nice to have someone else to talk to wether it be strangers or what. I thought that's what the Inn was for...to chat about anything? If you decide not to return I sincerely hope you get your life back in order. xx

I agree.....I thought this was a place to chat about everything apart from comping.....be it happy or sad.....please don't let this person upset you any more SoD, I can't begin to imagine how you must feel. So many people are so kind on here.....life is just too dam short for all this nastiness :eek: :eek:

That is a really awful thing of them to say that. We all got on so well in here in the days when the inn was such a friendly place to be before the back stabbing etc.

That is what the inn is for - for us to supprt each other and have a whinge etc when we want to.

Sometimes i find it easier to talk to strangers than people i know.

Hi All :santa2: (starting to feel festive now!!!)

Finally caught up on all today's comps (wow - how many pages posted today?) and answered my (very nice & friendly) couple of PMs

SoD - although I haven't been visiting the Inn for very long, and don't know what has happened in your life, I really, really hope things get better for you.

kkk - Fingers crossed the tablets work soon - any news on the withheld call?

gingerchick - sounds like you had an exciting (?!) evening! Pleased your son likes the look of the school Teachers are looking really young, I agree!

NNM - Can't believe your work! How unfair! :mad: It's your day off! You should be able to chill, switch off from everything and just relax (whether feeling 100% or not). Pleased you're a bit better today

Don't know what to say about all the PMs on here. I really don't understand the need for them. I got the impression that the Inn was somewhere we could all go and share things, have a general chat and whinge when we need to and a laugh to lighten things too

Off to chill in a long bath now - haven't got my Kathy Lette book yet, but looking forward to it arriving. Hope it arrives on the same day as my crunchies so I can have the ingredients for an indulgent, lazy evening

OMG SoD this is an eye-opener. I think people stop coming here because of such pointless messages. Please don't take this to heart, this just makes me sad and makes me think twice about posting here myself anymore!
