Why would it invalidate your car insurance? I have driven many times with large items in my boot. Beds, chest of drawers, dishwasher etc. That's what cars are for.

Done the same, and with a washing machine !

Have I been naughty too ?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's to do with the weight of the washer.

I remember somebody saying that putting a washer in the back of a car, invalidates in the insurance.

Just in case you're going to do it that way.

What your car insurance? Why? Thats the way I was going to do it...

Absolute rubbish, I have never heard anything of the sort. It's nowhere in my t&c's about what I can and can't transport in my car.
