Warning! What happens after successful reclaim

I successfully reclaimed all my sons bank charges for him from the Halifax approx 3 years ago.
After this he added my name to his cardcash account and since then I have dealt with all his banking.
2 Weeks ago I made a mistake when transferring some money and it went into the wrong account for 18 hours.
The consequence of this was that a D Debit was requested before I noticed my mistake. A bank charge of £35 was incurred.
I contacted the Halifax and explained that it was my mistake and that it was clear for everyone to see what that the mistake was genuine.
They said the charge could not be refunded as bank charges had been reclaimed in the past!!
I was disgusted with this decision and I immediately put in a complaint. I emphasised that it was my mistake and not my sons. I also stressed that I am a customer of many years and I have lots of investments with them. I have never ever had any bank charges on any of my accounts.
No joy they will not budge on their decision.
Any comments very welcome.
Thanks
Pam

It's standard bank policy that no further refunds be made, unless it was a bank error, which this clearly wasn't.
You can of course go through the reclaim process again.0
