hi
my mothers pc comes up with an error when she switches it on saying incredimail couldnt load properly. Ive gone into control panel to remove it, but its not shown in the list of programs.
Can anyone tell me where to look next? It is really slowing the pc down (or it could be the million other programs she has running at once!)
thanks

Try installing CCleaner. It has an uninstaller in that.
Or try re-installing and then removing Incredimail.
IFIRC, it's a known source of malware, anyway.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

thanks for the replies. I will try tomorrow.
While Im on, is there a way of telling what programs are being used on startup? Her PC is very slow starting up every time (5 mins +) and Im sure she must have a lot of stuff running at once?
thanks

Start/Run/MSCONFIG will bring a pop-up.Select the startup tab on that and list all the programs on it.
Someone will be able to tell which ones can safely be removed.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
