AIB Internet Banking Secruity Warning-Possible Scam

Got Email yesterday and another today from [EMAIL="alert@aib.ie"]alert@aib.ie[/EMAIL]

Dear Customer,
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]AIB is aware that fraudulent emails are being circulated to our customers at present.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Due to recent attempts, we are reissuing your Personal Access Code (PAC) and a new Code Card as an extra security measure.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Please allow 1-3 business days for processing.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]You will receive your Personal Access Code (PAC) and the new Code Card by mail after processing is complete.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The form is attached to this email. Please download the attachment, open it, and follow the instructions on your screen.[/FONT]


Only internet banking I have dealt with is Pay Pal.


I feel very suspicious about this and wonder if anyone else has received the same.

    I feel very suspicious about this and wonder if anyone else has received the same.

    Yes, just a few hundred to date.

    They come under the guise of just about every bank or building society going.

    They also "come" from HMRC, eBay, PayPal........

    What do you feel "suspicious" about? You don't bank with them and if you did they would not address you as "Dear Customer" so it is an obvious fraud attempt.

    No, no, I'm sure it's genuine. Even though you don't even have an AIB account. :rolleyes:

    Have you seriously never, ever received one of these emals before? Just delete it.
