Maf... corsa fault code 0100 :(

Uh oh!
Just fitted the new MAF, its fitted correctly and when we started the car it was fine, rev'd it abit n some black smoke that smelt like petrol has come out?!
I thought it might have just been cleaning the excess stuff, but when we turned off the engine, and restarted it began 'juddering' and more black stuff came out the exhaust.
Now the corsa fault codes that come up are:
P0100 Mass or volume air flow circuit high input C-10 or...
P0100 Mass or volume air flow circuit low input C-10
and...
P0170 Rich Exhaust C-30 or...
P0170 Lean Exhaust C-30
It seems to be running ok.. but when i wait at the traffic lights it 'judders'. I have got more power back but im wondering if its putting alot of petrol through or something? ne ideas?
