Just wanted to rant & warn others about the really poor service from Ebuyer now.
I bought a few items from them last week which were all delivered shortly afterwards but one of the items (pressure washer) had been dropped and was broken when we opened it.
We have phoned everyday only to find a queue of a min of 10 people waiting (approx 15-30 mins) I simply can't wait all that time in the morning before I go to work on the phone, we tried everyday!! and at lunch times! I posted an enote on their site, and found out there is a message service after 5 mins of waiting where they will ring you back, so I rang left a message , no one rang!
I left another message today and another enote, they finally rang back and it was sorted in less than 30 secs..
I doubt I shall buy from them again, very poor customer service.

Never had a problem with eBuyer, they are an online service, so they prefer to deal with customers via the enote system, I have never had an issue with that.
The few item's that required replacement were replaced very quickly.0 -

So... because they have customers other than yourself, they are a poor company?I posted an enote on their site, and found out there is a message service after 5 mins of waiting where they will ring you back, so I rang left a message , no one rang!
Perhaps they had a large call volume, or you posted a message near the end of shift where it wouldn't be read until later....?I left another message today and another enote, they finally rang back and it was sorted in less than 30 secs..

So they phoned you back and sorted in less than 30 seconds sounds pretty good to me....
Some people just love a good drama.0 -
At some time or another every online retailer will let somebody down in some way or other.
I used to use ebuyer regularly but something or other they did gave me the hump and I haven't shopped there since. It can't have been anything especially bad though because for the life of me I don't recall what the problem was.
If I wanted something tomorrow and they came up cheapest I'd have no problem using them again. For some reason or other they just haven't been competitive on the stuff I've bought over the last few years.0 -
eBuyer have an online returns procedure ...
"Returns - In order to return goods to ebuyer.com, we request that you follow our online returns procedure. Thanks to our easy-to-use online returns tool, this can be done at a time convenient to you, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day!"
You just fill in your request and wait. It works.
Frustrating may be not being able to sort things straight away - but you just wait and it gets done.
No need to phone at all, just patience required.0 -
If you use any on-line supplier for long enough they will eventually fail to meet your expectations in one way or another. Just something to put down to experience.
I used to only use DABs, then found their customer service slow and unhelpful. Then I moved to ebuyer and have never had a problem, but as previously posted you really need to use their e-notes service. Then thought for a change I'd try CCL (winners of PC Pro customer satisfaction survey) and they were a disaster, sent me the wrong item 3 times in a row then when I gave up they took 4 weeks to refund my credit card. So now back to ebuyer.
There is no such thing as a perfect on-line supplier...0 -

Well thats not exactly true, the frustrating thing it's a straightforward online return system but after filling in the return it said I had to ring them to get it confirmed. Why I don't know as I said it was done in less than a min and I didn't tell him any more than I put on the return info online. I've used Ebuyer for years but only had to return 2 things and both times now were troublesome.
So the warning is simple a great company if you get what you want but if anything goes wrong it's very tricky.
The Enote system is good but it still didn't solve the problem the note I received back was to keep ringing. But it did tell me of the message service so they would ring me back, why they couldn't simply ring me back from my enote in the first place I dunno. All different dept's etc0
