Insuring car for sale..please I need help!

    A customer having a comprehensive policy on another car won't mean your car would be covered comprehensively should you let him test drive it.

    I know..it will be only third party cover but that should be enough driving for a short distance

    i tried my wife's current insurer and they said they do not do temporary extensions and we have to renew fo a whole year

    Well, it's legally enough to protect third parties.

    As long as you accept any damage done to the car isn't covered! (And you are entrusting the driving of your pride and joy to a complete stranger!)

    Maybe, but would you buy a car without driving it first? So why would they?

    This is always the problem with private sales. But you need to sell the car - the buyer has 000's to choose from, so you need to be properly in a position to make a sale.
