Doing a refurb on our tiny bathroom and, like so many, taking off the old tiles has pulled down a straight across area of about 2 square meters of plaster exposing outside brick wall.
I went out and hubby said he'd had a bloke round to look at it (friend of his brother) and he's coming tomorrow. Asked him "how much?" and he hadn't asked (tears out hair)!! So, need to get that sorted before he starts. How much would you think is fair bearing in mind he's doing it in his spare time, after work? Presumably he'll supply the materials as he didn't say we should get anything. Thanks.

I had nearly the same problem on monday night when I pulled some wall paper down and down came the plaster aswell.
Plasterer came last night and was there for about an hour and a half. He charged me £40. I game him £50 for helping me out at short notice. We took on Mr T and we won:D
Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now :beer:0 -
Thanks for the tip. Our bloke never turned up. He said Thursday night or the weekend. How vague!! Never showed all weekend, no phone call -nothing  Plan B then. DIY. Hubs reckons he might just put a bit of plaster board up and keep his fingers crossed :rolleyes:0
