    Hi Ronald208,

The mailing campaign to notify those customers on a tariff that is coming to an end on the 1 October 2009 started on the 17 August and is expected to last 3 weeks. Therefore I’d expect your letter to be with you by the 7 September.

Customers coming off the Energy Saver 2 tariff in October will be put on to a new capped tariff called R1. This is capped at a slightly higher price and has no cancellation fees. As its capped prices will fall but not rise from their starting amounts.

The reason they will be higher than your current capped rates, is due to prices being higher than from the time you joined Energy Saver 2, and you protected yourself from price increases over the last couple years.

You don’t have to take this tariff and this is why the renewal letters are being sent, we automatically put our ending capped customers onto a new capped tariff as it’s the closet to your current deal.

Best to look at all the other choices available and make a decision based on what you are looking for as a customer. Make use of the comparison sites to get the best deal.
