Travelling abroad, what card?

Hi, think this is the right place to ask this question.
I am going travelling with 2 of my friends in December. We will be visiting Australia, Fiji, Singapore, Tokyo and New Zealand. I have been looking over the internet for a card I can use in these countries without getting hit with too many costs.
I have seen a travel card called Caxton FX global travel card. The only problem is I have never really heard of the company and don't know if they are reliable.
Can any one point me in the right direction or have a card they reccomend?
Cheers

Hi,
Why don't you look at getting a Nationwide Flexi a/c with a debit card or a Post Office a/c.

Thomas cook do a pre paid cash passport as do many other travel agents but think you would be best with a nationwide debit card, but you could do with several options ie debit card, pre paid card and a credit card dont put all your eggs in 1 basket read some of the problems people have abroad on here with banks blocking cards, lost, stolen etc.0

I would use a Nationwide debit card for ATM withdrawals and a Santandar Zero card for purchases. This can also be used for withdrawing cash but you would then need to pay off your balance quickly because it has no fees, but 27% APR is charged from the date of withdrawal.0
