Talk to your daughter's coaches, they maybe able to recommend any help you could apply for in your area, and if there are any funds available from the clubs etc will be able to put her name forward to be considered.
Keep in touch with anyone else who has a daughter in the same sports. In this way if they find anything out before you, then they may tell you. Pass on any tips you discover, you may find it's a two-way conversation, and you learn some yourself.
Keeping in touch with families also involved is also a good way of sharing the travelling to events or training, which keeps costs and time involved down.
Can school help? Are there any funds they could put your daughter up for?
If she is doing, or going to do, GCSE PE, could they incorporate her training into the course.
Some private sports schools/colleges offer grants/bursaries/scholarships for talented athelites. I think Millfield's is the top in the country (http://www.millfield.co.uk/) and I know of a neighbours children who went there on a scholarship and loved it - but it is boarding school. There are lots of other sports schools around the country that maybe able to help you.
Hope these jottings help,
Best wishes

One of my relatives is into triatholon and the local council and the British Triathalon society give out grants and sponsorship to the young ones in their club. She is coming here later I will quiz her on what they do to get the money. I had 2 teens in the ATC and spent nearly every weekend taking them somewhere for a sports or outdoor event or parade. Fortunately it wasn't a problem but some of the parents didn't have the transport or the funds to contribute, maybe the club has a hardship fund, if so don't be too proud to ask for help. Or maybe another family can help with alternative lifts so you don't always have to go in your own car. Could you get involved as a helper, they may allow travelling expenses for you if you are contributing to the events and training.
I hope you can get some help it would be a shame to halt a promising athlete because of the cost involved.0 -

Thankyou everyone for your help.
Sadly, my "talented daughter" has wiped off all the replies on my e mail!
Would all of you who emailed me, do so again, particularly the lady who copied me to another lady called Mandy.
many thanks0
