I've just stupidly disabled my laptop speakers

Hi techy's ,

I was just wondering if you an give me some help! I am running Vista and went to Control -> Sound -> SoundMAX intergrated digital HD audio and then browsing their , their was a bar at the bottom saying this device is enabled and i changed it to disabled and now it has completely gone

My speaker at the bottom now has a red cross saying "No audio output devie is installed". I've tried a system restore but it hasn;t sort out my problem.

Can you guys please help me get my speakers working again!!

can you not just go back into control and enable it?

Goto DEVICE MANAGER and it should be in there (Simply put it back to 'enabled')

Thanks for your reply , I did that and located the speakers but it said this device was already enabled. I've also tried a system restore but it didn't work.

Any other ideas??

uninstall it in device manager
then scan for hardware changes

I totally reset my computer {Needed a clean anyway} & Now it works nicely!
