Finance help

I have found a college that does home study courses but the courses cost between £200 and £300, i am 20 and unemployed and a private tenant so i do recieve JSA, housing and council tax benefit obviously i am living off £200 a month to pay bills and live so no way can i afford to go paying £200 for a course.

Is there any finance available for me?

It depends on what course you want to do and with whom.If you go through the Open University you are likely to get some funding. And some courses are offered for free if you fall into certain categories. See Directgov

You don't get funding help with the sort of private organisations that you're talking about and they're generally best avoided.

As you're on means tested benefits you could look at studying part time with your local college where you should find that your fees will be waived. You may still be in time to start this term, but I would get a move on!
  • I would like to do part time but the courses are about £200 and i cant get help with the fees so i have been told.

Are you talking about normal college courses - there will be a few that aren't funded, even if you're on benefits. What are you hoping to study ?

It is highly dependant on the course you want to study and your personal circumstances (including educational history) but have you looked at Learning For Free
