Parcelforce Problem

I recently bought an item on ebay and the seller sent the item by Parcelforce 48 .After a week I complained to the seller that the item had not arrived and he gave me the tracking number and it shows it delivered and signed for by me (not true) has anyone else had a similar experience?

If its not yours you need to contact parcelforce and complain,

I've never had any problems with parcelforce and found them better than a lot of other couriers

Its happened with me a couple of times with Parcelforce (I was the sender). Its unfortunately usually easier for the receiver of the goods to sort it out. On one occasion the driver had signed for the item and thrown it over a fence, in this case the wrong fence, it was found a couple of days later.
If the goods have been delivered to a different address and signed for in your name then you may have to involve the police as it has essentially been stolen from you.

I have put in a complaint to Parcelforce and I will see what happens. It is really annoying as I waited in all day for the delivery and it is a very rare item and may take years to find another.
I may go to the police as my signiture must have been falsified by someone at another address.

I have had a driver sign for a parcel for me before and leave it with a neighbour. Have you checked your to see if they have it and have not told you yet? I live in an area were I would not want anything left with a neighbour as the chances of ever seeing it again are not good, fortunately he choose the only trustworthy one on my landing.

An update on this one Parcelforce advise me that the sender had put the wrong address on the package so I went to the address and it was left there last friday and the confused householder took it to the local sorting office who where not interested in it but he left it anyway. My problem now is the tracking details say that I signed for the item(the signature is a dot) and the seller just points to that and I seem to be snookered.

surely if seller has sent to wrong address (not the one on your paypal account) then he is in the wrong and paypal will see this ?

It is a bit of a weird one as it is pretty much down to you, unless you can get Parcelforce to confirm that the seller had the wrong address on it. When it happened to me as the seller I did help the buyers, one who I knew very well and knew was telling the truth. You need to ask the seller to get a claim form from Parcelforce. If it was returned to a sorting office, chances are it will end up back with the seller if he had a return address on it.

unlike RM's tracking system,PF's is tied to an address.
so PF should be able to confirm the address
however i would be contacting the sender regarding what they are going to do
