Ad blocking in Opera 9

I've just switched back to Opera 9 from Firefox (got fed up of how slow FF gets with add-ons and the slow start up)
I'm just tweaking Opera, and don't want to use the built in adblock through the UI as I have a few good filter list from Tamil. When I last used Opera 6, I would edit the urlfilter.ini file in the profile folder to add the adblock filters, but can't find this in Opera 9.
Any ideas how this is done on Opera 9?

Thanks for you response bud. I saw that yesterday, when I was trying to google the answer. That's the process I actually want to avoid. I've been doing it that way but I didn't think it was very comprehensive.
The filter list I want to apply is here.

Have you tried blocking something, then looking for the resulting urlfilter.ini file?0

U cud install Sanboxie .that way you cud open a 2nd browser with just a few installed addons or disable those already in 1 of them. The effect would last until you decided to delete the contents of the sanbox ,wheter you choose to leave open for a few days or weeks.Once deleted you wud default to what ever was instaleed on the orginal firefox & start over again ?0

I've currently blocked about 15-20 ads using the Opera interface. As you can imagine, they keep respawning.
I would have thought that that would have created the urlfilter.ini file in the opera folder, but it hasn't. I have all hidden files on show, and tried a search too. I'm baffled. My farts hospitalize small children

To be honest I've abandoned Firefox. I've used it for the last five years and although I would choose it over IE, I've seen it bloat from version to version.
I hadn't installed any add-ons that were (IMO) non essential. In fact the only ones I had were, Adblock, British Dictionary, Mouse gestures, with no themes. Nothing flash. Switching back to Opera, reminds me of what a lean fully featured "out of the box" browser should feel like.
I've always found FF a little glitchy too, not unforgivably, but not as polished as Opera. My farts hospitalize small children

Yeah tried that along with Chrome too. Liked Safari, speedy and polished just like Opera. Just didn't like how it opened all the videos on Quicktime. Never got around to solving that one, but i'm sure it is possible.
Tried Chrome on launch day and found it a bit minimalist, and seem to take an immediate dislike to it. Might have to give it another go, there have probably been quite a few changes. My farts hospitalize small children
