Best Children's Charity
Options
Can anyone recommend any good children's charity - I mean the ones in Africa, Asia or Romania where you can sponser a child and send them photos and have them send you photos and KNOW that the money you're spending on them and their families actually GOES to the child and their families and not partially to charity administration fees? I mean 100% of my money goes directly to the cause?
Thanks

The chestnut tree are very good.

I'm not sure if any charity will be able to say for certain that 100% of your donations will go direct to any cause, as the Admin costs for this is quite high. You might find that the charities who send you pics of kids will also send the same pics to other sponsors as well.
Send a Cow is a very good charity which runs 'family friend'.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

No admin? How would the charity pay for the postage, the website, the agent to find the child and family and deliver your gift to them. Wouldn't you want someone to collect the Gift Aid tax rebate so your donation becomes larger? Someone has to keep records and prepare the annual report and accounts that all charities are required to have.
Most charities offering child sponsorship schemes spend some of the money on projects to help the entire village to develop. They have found that it creates resentments and tensions when a few people in a community are singled out for gifts.0
