That is so fantastic Luc. It really does go to show how much your attitude towards money has changed and how much you now value it!!
I am really proud of you! :T

Well done :T :T
You'll get more pleasure from sitting on either a free or reduced price bench in the future, than buying one now thinking 'I could have paid, x, y and z.' Great willpower!
That's true DFW stylee!Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

YAY good for you!! Incidentally, my mate was saying that his sister just got one of those pub style bench/ table combos in B&Q for £30, maybe the £2 savers club might cover that? Or a quick flurry of ebay activity should raise that... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Sorry I can't thank you all personally - due to our lack of thanks button at the mo. So I just wanted to say:-
THANK-YOU EVERYONE, YOU HAVE CHANGED ME FOR THE BETTER!!"I will be debtfree":p0 -
Well done - I'd go for the B & Q option too, I did a bootsale three years ago because I wanted a picnic bench, I raised £70, went straight to B & Q and bought the bench and a gazebo with the money, the bench has lasted well and it's only this year we are having to think about replacing it as cloddhopping 12 year old DS decided to stand on it and he weighs more than me.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
well done. I must admit I balked when I was in a flash garden shop Saturday behind a woman buying a £299 bench, but then I was buying a £33 bird box - forgive me MSE for I have sinned....0

Well done you!
I agree with the others, wait till the end of the season. Last year I wanted a glass table and chairs from B & Q, waited till the end, (Quite hard, I was worried they'd all go!) but got the table for £69 instead os £120, the chairs for £60 for four, instead of £120, and he parasol for £20 instead of £40! Going to enjoy them this summer!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Then thats what I will do. I will enjoy summer, and make do with rugs, then I will go shopping at the end of the season (as long as we are up together with all bills!!).
Thanks again guys!!"I will be debtfree":p0 -
I'd keep a lookout on Ebay too, if I were you - plenty of benches for 99p with local pickup only.........Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
