EON messing around

Hi,
I had a letter a few months ago from EON (who are not my energy provider) saying they needed to change my meter. They booked an appointment which they didn't show up for. As far as I am aware, they have to pay me £20 for this and I got in touch with them to tell them this.
They responded saying that they would investigate my complaint and get back to me within 10 working days. It's now 13 working days and still nothing - it's probably me being optimistic but do they have to pay twice?
Jon.

You live in the West or East Midlands or Lincolnshire so they are your electricity distributor.cardboardman wrote: »They booked an appointment which they didn't show up for. As far as I am aware, they have to pay me £20 for this and I got in touch with them to tell them this.
Where did you hear that?0 -
Hi cardboardman,
This sounds like a Statatory meter exchange, due to be carried out by Central Networks, who are owned by E.ON.
They are a different area of the energy network to E.ON your energy supplier, and have different guidelines and processes to that of the retail branch owned by E.ON.
To establish this you will need to write or contact Central Networks, rather than E.ONs retail side. Is this who you have contacted?
If you have gone direct to Central Networks and you are yet to receive a response to your complaint, than I would expect a compensatory amount to be paid.
Hope you get this sorted, any questions give me a shout.
