Are you dealing with one person in the EA, with one company i was dealing with a diffrent person everytime i tryed to communicate with them which in turn didnt secure me the property and made me lose patience with them, i recommend you speak to one person only thats what i have done and now in the process of buying :D
  • I'm expecting to get an offer accepted today and need some help on what to do next:

Do i need to go into the estate agents? I am getting my own mortgage through the brittania.

Am I best getting my mortgage sorted straight away or am i better off waiting for the 7 day period where the property and offer should be advertised to pass by so that i don't get done for mortgage/solicitor fees?

    thanks.

Form your point of view, you want everything moving as soon/quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, a higher offer could be made and possibly accepted at anytime right up until contracts are exchanged - so waiting until your offer has been advertised wont gain any advantage really.

Hope everything goes ok for you. When we bought ours, we were told by the vendors EA that they discouraged further viewings/offers on repossessed properties that had offers accepted. Whiel they couldn't stop anyone viewing, they just advised them that an offer was acceoted and progressign quickly, so that any higher bid would need to be signifgantly higher. Noone else outbid us, but depending on the property/area, etc it can be a risk.

I agree, waiting 7 days now only gives you an extra 7 days to be outbid later on. Move as quickly as you can as they will consider that if they do get any other offers.

Getting the solicitor to call you back for you to tell them that time is of the essence is another thing altogether as I'm experiencing today!
