Which archos media tablet is best to buy

I am considering buying my husband an archos 5 for his birthday, from googling I have read about other archos products, so I still have no idea as to which is the best. He will use it mostly for train journeys. Can anyone help please.

Hi there, if you're not too worried about the looks you might want to think about the previous generation Archos 605 wifi like this one on ebay.
I have the 160gb version myself with a docking station which can record TV. The Archos will also play music in various formats as well as videos. You can also browse the internet on it with the appropriate plugin, I love mine, its great!Useful is beautiful0 -

thanks for the replies, i will look into them. The gadget show seems to often plug the archos 5, but i have found mixed reviews on them all. I know that there is a new archos android due for release soon, but i dont really know much about it, does anyone else.0
