Hi, can anyone recommend any reasonably priced Family Tree software, I am currently using Genesunited but would like to build my tree on my own laptop with some software.
Many thanks.

There are several free ones around. I like Family Tree Builder.

There's also Legacy which I've never used but many people swear by.

If you go for a paid one Family Historian is the most UK oriented, but a bit overwhelming for a beginner.0 -
Many thanks, i'll take a look at the free ones

I use RootsMagic (UK version) which costs £22.95 now for the basic downloaded version and lets you put all sorts of items in linked to the people and lets you produce output in all sorts of ways. I'm a software designer/programmer myself and like the features of this.

They plug the platinum version but I don't see the need for all the extra gumph which is probably the money making bit!0
