Can anyone recommend a skype phone for me please, my husband is going to the UAE and I would like to be able to ring him cheaply and vice versa.Thank you in advance for any help.

You are talking about a PC-linked Skype phone, not a Skype enabled mobile? Skype to Skype calls are better than cheap-they're free.

yes pc linked skype phone, so many of them out!

I use the Cyberphone K myself, but that is just a personal preference. They should all do the job.

I'm pretty sure Skype is blocked in the UAE.

Are you simply thinking of phoning him from your pc using Skype? If so, all you need is headphones/mic, which you can pick up for around/less than 20 quid.
