Hi.
I'm planing to lay new laminate floor. and I have this question.
Can I lay foil type underlay on top of acoustic underlay?
My new flat came with this acoustic underlay laying all over and wondering if I should lay foil type laminate on top of it to keep the floor warm?
Do you think it's a good idea or it's not worth it?
Thank you.

I wouldn't have thought that foil underlay would help keep the floor warmer, i can see the benefit of the main underlay.
Are you thinking that because it is sometimes suggested we put foil behind radiators it will have the same benefits when under the floorboards ?
If so, i think the reason it helps behind a radiator is, it acts like a mirror, reflecting the heat back into the room. That wouldn't happen beneath the laminate.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Hi.
I saw this site and it says
"Foil backed underlay is good at reflecting heat and can help to keep your house warmer. "

Is it worth it?
