Folks :-
In the old days the only mail format that was universal was plain ascii text. Some people would get very hot under the collar if you used anything else.
My company has sent out a note stating we should all use rich text in preference to html or plain text. I'm a little worried about this - is rich text universal - can Linux / Macs / what ever else you can think of cope with RTF?
Thanks
Kev

Yes. RTF is 'almost' as universal as TXT (and has its merit of not allowing macros, hence no Word macro viruses. That used to be significant!).

In that case you should send out plain text and an alternative RTF attachment.
Don't just send RTF.
It'll be up to the end-user preferences as to what they'll display.0
