Unpaid Direct Debit Fees

I have a loan agreement with a company and unfortunately I did not have sufficient funds to make the payment last month. I accept this and the charges associated with it. However after this they represented for the payment without informing me and I incurred a further 2 charges (they represent for 2 direct debits for the total amount).
I understand that if I want these charges back it is the responsibility of the loan company but they say the agreement I signed allows them to do this.
I checked the agreement and it says that;
"If we are required to do so under any applicable law or other legal requirement, we will provide you with advance notice before we re-present for payment a previously returned or dishonoured debit."
I was wondering if there is any such law that states they must give me notice as I have been unable to find much info on this.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I asked them about this and they basically said "It says we can do it in your agreement" and don't really seem to want to offer any more info.
I was really hoping that they had some obligation to give me notice of representing.0 -
I think you need to ask them where in your agreement and have the agreement in front of you when you do, ask them to quote the bit in full.I asked them about this and they basically said "It says we can do it in your agreement" and don't really seem to want to offer any more info.
