Prescription lenses - where to buy cheap

Options
Hi I've already bought some frames but need to get prescription lenses - would anyone know of any sites or shops that can fit them for cheap? I called Vision Express and they were quoting something in the vicinity of £100!
Anything (much) cheaper would be great! thanks

They recommend sending the glasses recorded delivery and you get anti relection, uv400 and scratch resistance coating for free if you choose the "thin and light lenses".

I ordered a pair of glasses on 25th April and got notification today that they should be with me in a few days (quicker than if I had gone to a large opticians).

    Hope that helps

This website seems to be down at the moment,

so is there any other online shops that do reglazing, i would require the 1.67 thin lenses.

The sites working now - looks interesting.

Pats06: please report back on how satisfied you are when you receive your new lenses

I know you have the frames but please try this site - I have two pairs of rimmless glasses for under £28 and that is good.

Just to report i used selectspecs.com (as Pats06 recommended) to get lenses put into my frames and they were excellent. Quick turnaround and very reasonably priced.

    Terf,
I know you've had your reglaze done and it was ok. There is a site called https://www.ciliaryblue.com (for future reference) that do reglazing only, so they are well geared up for this, they even post box to you to send the frames back! Definately worth a look, they supply to Optical trade too, so they know what they are doing! I've used them at my own practice.
    Cheers.
