hi there,
do you press the button on the handle down only to squirt the solution onto the carpet? or do you need to hold it down for it to suck up aswell?

i think you press it just to put the solution down as i used one last weekend and kept my finger on it trying to suck up as well (should of read the instructions) the result being a smell of wet carpet for half a week0

I had one a few weeks back and I started off with same issue as yorkie lad so I stopped holding it down and went over the areas again and I could still see water shooting round the plastic barrel bit so I think the button is for putting on solution only.0
