Left hand side of the page find setup, and below this wireless settings.

Click on this , on the wireless settings page you will see channel , its probably set on 6, try changing it to 10.

The laptop will lose its connection so it will need to search for it again.

See how far you can get from the router, if no better try again.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

On the lefthand side click on Wireless settings. Underneath region it should have channel with the drop down menus you can change the number. Do this (10 or 11 should be fine) then scroll to bottom and press apply. Then you can come out of router and try daughters laptop.

If that doesnt work have you checked the laptops wireless settings?

Without knowing the size and layout of your flat, nor where your wireless router is located within it, it's difficult to diagnose specifically what's causing the problem but the likeliest cause is that her bedroom is simply out of range from your wireless router: wireless signals don't pass through brick walls very well.

If this is so, changing the channel of a wireless signal that's out of range is not going to improve anything.

Experiment by putting the wireless router in different locations - perhaps in the hall - and see if you can find somewhere convenient that works throughout the premises.

Note that you can do this without the wireless router being plugged into your telephone socket: you're only experimenting with the wireless network itself: once you get that working satisfactorily you can then plug Internet access back into it.

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.
