  • Hi Lydia32

If you could please remove my post from yours that would be great, the advice I have been given is to remove my email address and unfortunately I cannot remove it from your post. Thank you
  • I am also having issues with a De Vere Hotel re: wedding booking. Any advice on who to contact?
  • hi there, we are the most reccent in not receiving a reply from the devere. we waited the 3 day preiod for a response, to which we heard nothing, then after that we sent it to there second point of complant contact, and even after we sent it to the governing body to STILL have no reply. utterly disgusted. i genuinely feel like we hve been treated like secnd class citizens. how do i go about forwarding the complaint so somebody actually reads this and we actually get some justice and feedback at least???? we stayed at the devere at theobalds park...... never again !!!! the staff were not very well trained and rude, the walls so paper thin to the point i could here the man next door ( and you could tell it was a man) going to the toliet. loud musc till 3.30am from next door to which reception would not go and tell them to be queit. we wasnt allowed to check in till 2.45 and stillwasnt given to room we was supposed to have. very poor upgraded room, very un clean and mould every where in the bathroom. the website talks about a 14th century georgian house, well you don even get to stay in there, the hotel is like a anex build onto the mansion to which that was very dissapointing.... i could go on an on. such a hame as we spent over £100 on the room alone without dinner and drinks etc etc. we still feel very hard done by especially as this was supposed to be our romantic valentines day weekend away. can anybody help us atleast get a response?

Whilst staying at The De Vere Oulton Hall some time ago at breakfast my wife received a full glass of orange juice all over her as it was delivered by staff to our table.
The General Manager at the time promissed us (without any time limit) 2 nights accomodation free. I still have his PA's emails.
    That was in 2008...
Last week I decided to email (I included the old emails) the same PA Gillian. She who actually recalled the incident.
    She was very pleasant.
I asked her if I could take up the promise made by the General Manager.
She returned my email saying that the current General Manager would not honour the agreement as it was too long ago.
    I was more than disappointed.
My oldest son seeing how disappointed I was booked my wife (his mam) and I into Oulton Hall for one night.

I contacted Gillian again to tell her we had paid to stay one night even though we had previously been offered 2 free nights. Not even a mention of a free glass of champagne!

I would like the CEO at De Vere HQ to know how well Oulton Hall really treat their guests especially those who have had glasses of juice spilt over them by staff.

I can't get an email or a direct line number anywhere for the CEO.
    Could anyone help please.

    Thanks,

    Keith.

Yes they made a mistake, yes they offered you something and you have waited 3 years to try and take it?

Me too! 3 Years is a long time. The gesture of 2 nights was more generous than it needed to be too, id have snapped their hand off to take it up.
