Help with recent bank charges

My finances are in a complete mess at the moment and I have not had enough funds in my account to cover some of my direct debits and standing orders. My bank has charged me £35 for every-time (amounting to about 8 times now)
They even charged me for a failed standing order to my own savings account, on another occasion they charged me for something and that made me go into overdraft for which they charged me again!!!
It's getting me down, is there anything I can do.........????

I would reclaim your bank charges and furthermore, have a good look at all your direct debits and standing orders and get rid of non essential ones.
