extra kitchen unit shelves

Hi

We've just had a kitchen fitted, and I need extra shelves for my broom cupboard. I'm after the simple plain white shelves that sit on the 4 hinges.
I've asked at the shed where I bought it, but they dont supply them (so they say).
Anyone know anywhere else where I can get them?

I had the same problem and bought a white furniture board and got it cut in one of the sheds - cost me £13 for about four or five shelves.
  • I imagined that would be my solution.
i just can't believe they dont supply extra !?!

Homebase where I got my kitchen do, but for loads more £££ so the salesman advised me to get a furniture board cut.

I bought extra shelves for my kitchen from Benchmarx, who supplied it.

Do Benchmarx have the same internal measurements as Homebase and B&Q?
I'm after some internal drawers and B&Q were cheaper than Homebase (£55 per drawer) but it takes six weeks for delivery!

Yes they do, they all use a standard 18mm carcase, therefore the internal dimensions are the same. The reason that B&Q are a lot cheaper, is because they are VERY poor quality (flimsy to say the least).

OP - which shed did you get the kitchen from?
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

  • I got mine from Homebase. I went to a different store yesterday, and the only ones they have available for order are the thicker ones that need to be screwed in, and then sit on white plastic things.

The ones i'm after are slightly thinner, and sit on the normal metal hinges.
But they also advised me to get some board cut up. I think i'll try that this weekend....

Do Benchmarx only sell to trade? I just had a look at the website.

Yeah, they only supply to the trade, along the same lines of what Howdens do...
