thanks guys, I am glad I can inspire some of you!

TBH, I have avoided posting 'my story' on here so far, as it is long and convoluted, and would feel a bit like running through a shopping centre naked :o (although there are snippets dotted about through the forum!) but I don't think I am doing anything *that* different from most DFWs anyway.

The total has been moving downwards extra fast for the last couple of months, and that is largely due to me getting my bank charges back this week! Last month I had a small payout from my private health insurance too, which all went towards it.

How do I do it, erm, well, I just became a tightwad :rotfl: - I don't spend anything I don't need to, my SOA was cut to the bone almost 2 years ago, erm, I've sold all of the tat that I bought whilst building the debt up, and stopped buying more... thats about it really! I guess I am lucky in that my minimum payments were very high initially, and I 'got used' to throwing between £700 and £1000 a month at my debt. I took a massive drop in income last year (I have multiple sclerosis, and was forced to stop working - but I still get 70% of my salary paid through an insurance policy) so I don't always manage that kind of level of repayment any more, but I do make sure it is at least £550 a month. All of my debt is now on 0%, so my payments will have a bit more impact now than they were having.

I guess I just made clearing my debt, and acheiving some level of financial security my number 1 priority. Literally every spare penny I have goes towards it!
