Submitted claim BEFORE cases went on hold?!

Hi all,

Regarding my bank charges reclaiming, i submitted my claim waaaayyy back in early 2007 (i don't have the exact date to hand, sometime in March i believe, possibly before), to which i received the standard reply on the 6th April advising they believe the charges are fair etc etc, to which i replied using the template letter on this website threatening court action if the charges were not refunded.

I then received a letter dated 30th July explaining that all cases were now on hold due to the test case. My query is, surely as i submitted my claim long BEFORE it was annouced that the test case was to take place and therefore all charge reclaiming was going on hold, i should be refunded?!

I did write to my bank (Lloyds TSB) asking them about this but just again got back a standard letter advising all cases were on hold pending the outcome of the unbelievably drawn out test case (or words to that effect).

Any help greatly apreciated.

One other question, if the charges ARE found to be fair, will all the people who have been refunded not be in danger of having to pay their refund back?!

Cheers
Matt

Had you filed at court in May/June 2007, then you would probably have beaten the stay of court claims and been refunded. As it is, you are in the queue with the other 1.25 million claimants

No, because all refunds have been made on the basis of a goodwill gesture
