hi
could anyone let me know if my wife can claim back her bank charges using hardship. i was injured at work and have been on half pay for a while and we are struggling because of this. the dwp have accepted that i am now disabled because of the accident and am getting a small amount of benefit which is being payed into her account. but it is nowhere near as much as i am out of pocket by being on half pay.
thanks if anyone can help

Yes I think you might be able to. What stage are you currently at?0 -
hiya
i have all her bank statements going back to 1999 due to my bankruptcy. i have worked out that there will be aver 5000 to reclaim. i havent worked since since may 2009 when i had an emegency op on my lower back. the opp hasnt worked and am now waiting for another one. i have been accepted for 2 diff benefits of dla and also industrial accident. in july i was declared as 20% disabled but since then have got worse.
i am only going to be getting half pay for a little while longer then down to ssp. the big issue is my wife is the main earner. she earns approx 30k but due to loans and cc and mortgage this doesnt cover it my wife has a 2k od agreed but most months we go over this. her mum has been really kind and keeps giving us money to cover bills.
due to these outgoings i cannot afford to even have chiro on my back anymore.
thanks for your help0 -

superb so they are likely to pay out on hardship for us?
what are they likely to do to her account if we do claim?0 -
They shouldn't do anything to her account albeit they can offer her a basic account under financial hardship.dougpearce wrote: »superb so they are likely to pay out on hardship for us?

Will they pay out? It is impossible to be 100% certain but unless you ask the question we will never know.0 -
just had a letter back from Natwest saying that we have to wait till after the highcourt rulling.
any suggestions on what to send back to them?
